Adult Allergy and Asthma
UC Irvine’s allergists and immunologists provide state-of-art evaluation, treatment and follow up of adult patients with a variety of conditions, including allergic skin disorders such as hives and eczema, drug reaction or sensitivity, food allergy, allergic gastrointestinal system diseases, insect bites, hay fever and asthma. In addition, our team of experts provides on-site allergy skin testing, pulmonary function testing (spirometry) and allergy injections or desensitization shots.
Pediatric Allergy and Immunology
Children with allergies and immune deficiency disorders require special attention. UC Irvine Healthcare allergists and immunologists provide comprehensive and compassionate care for children of all ages. Our physicians are experts in diagnosing and treating children with allergic and immunological conditions such as hives, eczema, drug allergy, food allergy, allergic gastrointestinal system diseases, insect bites, hay fever and asthma, as well as primary and secondary immune deficiency disorders. Eligible patients are offered allergy skin testing, pulmonary function testing (spirometry), allergy shots (immunotherapy) and immunoglobulin treatment.
Immunology
Immunological conditions are complex and thus require careful evaluation, treatment and ongoing care. UC Irvine Healthcare’s team of experts provide comprehensive and contemporary care for patients with immunological conditions such as primary immune deficiency states, including genetically determined antibody deficiency disorders, combined immunodeficiencies, phagocytic system disorders and complement deficiencies, secondary immunological disorders due to autoimmune diseases, malignancies, and human immunodeficiency virus. We also offer patients immunoglobulin treatment if they are eligible.
