SPONSOR A BLOOD DRIVE

There is a critical shortage of blood in Orange County. Sponsoring a blood drive is a wonderful opportunity to serve the community.

UC Irvine Medical Center has the only Level I Trauma Center in Orange County and transfuses an average of 1000 units of blood each month. Blood collected during our blood drives are used by our patients.

What types of patients need blood?

• Accident victims
• Cancer patients
• Patients undergoing major surgeries
• Patients with sickle-cell anemia
• Premature babies

Not only will a blood drive help your community, it will also benefit your organization in several ways:

• Strengthen your organization's interpersonal relationships.

This is especially true if any of your friends, relatives or co-workers have ever been in need of blood.

• Strengthen your organization's relationship with the community.

Because there is no substitute for human blood, you can help to ensure we meet the community’s need for blood.

 

As a thank you, all blood donors will receive a blood donor t-shirt or a gift certificate for a pint of Baskin Robbins ice-cream.

Our mobile team will be happy to come out to your business, place of worship or school.
