View the latest cancer clinical trials for the brain and nervous system. » Basic Science Research The Comprehensive Brain Tumor Program is actively involved in translational basic science brain tumor research as well as molecular biology brain tumor research. Translational efforts include those led by Dr. Daniela Bota in the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center’s translational research laboratory and others led by Dr. Mark Linskey and the Beckman Laser Institute on applications of modulated imaging to investigate brain tumors and intraoperative mapping. Dr. Yi-Hong Zhou leads molecular biology studies at the Brain Tumor Research Laboratory. Zhou is studying the a particular tumor suppressor pathway. Zhou and Linskey also are exploring the differential biology of tumor stem cells versus the main tumor cell population and the molecular modeling of brain tumor patient prognosis. |
