These include: Cancers can be treated with a variety of targeted radiation technologies, which include high-energy X-ray and electron beams. Where appropriate, our radiation oncology group also performs advanced brachytherapy, in which radioactive sources are implanted internally to destroy the cancer where it grows.
Our team tailors the radiation dose to conform to the exact shape of a patient’s tumor. This targets the dose only to the affected area, minimizing exposure to healthy tissue, reducing the risk of side effects and improving clinical outcomes. Our treatment services include: •Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) |
