She specializes in radiosurgical techniques such as the Gamma Knife and modern radiotherapy techniques such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), RapidArc™ and stereotactic surgery (SRS), in which highly focused radiation is concentrated on localized tumors. She also is an expert in brachytherapy, which involves placing radiation material directly into or near a tumor.

Dr. Kuo is a board-certified radiation oncologist with fellowship training in endocurietherapy and hyperthermia. He specializes in the use of radiation for malignancies of the brain, head and neck, breast, lung, gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, prostate, melanoma and sarcoma. Dr. Kuo is expert in the use of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), RapidArc™, the Gamma Knife, linear accelerator radiosurgery, high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy and other internal treatments.
