Prostate Health

Common problems such as benign growth of the prostate and associated urinary symptoms may be resolved using the latest laser-based system – the GreenLight™ PVP, or photo-selective vaporization of the prostate.  This technique provides dramatic improvement of symptoms and improved urine flow.

Fertility

The urologists at UC Irvine Medical Center are experts at dealing with fertility issues, including new procedures for no-incision vasectomies.  Microsurgical techniques are used to treat male fertility problems caused by varicocele (a problem affecting 40 percent of men diagnosed as infertile), as well as to reverse vasectomies.

Spinal cord injury

Urological disorders associated with spinal cord injury and other neurological issues are treated regularly at the Center for Urological Care.  Problems affecting the genitalia and urethra requiring correction, reconstruction and repair are also addressed.
