For children and their families, dealing with urinary and genital problems can be challenging in many ways. At UC Irvine Medical Center, we offer the highest level of care for children with urological disorders. 

Working with the Antoci Center for Pediatric Urology and Nephrology, our pediatric urologists provide specialized services for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney, bladder and genital disorders in children.

Treatments

Surgeons at UC Irvine Medical Center correct birth defects of the urinary tract using the latest laparoscopic and robotic techniques.  These approaches reduce pain and speed recovery. Our urology team is composed of specialists who are experts in treating common disorders such as hypospadias (a failure of the urethra to close) and hydrocele (a fluid buildup around the testicles). They are also skilled at correcting undescended testicles in boys, and in treating vesicoureteral reflux, a urinary problem more commonly occurring in girls.
