RECONSTRUCTIVE UROLOGY SERVICES

The Center for Reconstructive Urology serves patients from around the world who are referred to UC Irvine Medical Center for disorders affecting the external genitalia and male urethra.

Reconstructive Services

Our fellowship-trained urologists are specialists in reconstructive treatments to correct problems affecting the male genitalia and urinary tract. These include urethral stricture diseases (scarring that obstructs the flow of urine), Peyronie’s disease (a curvature of the penis), and hypospadias (a correctable birth defect in which openings remain along the urethra).

Erectile Dysfunction

Urologists at the Center for Reconstructive Urology are also skilled in placing and revising penile implants used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Medical Services

  • Urethral reconstruction for stricture disease
  • Hypospadias repair
  • Correction of penile curvature
  • Penile prosthesis implantation and revision
