UC Irvine’s highly skilled team of ophthalmologists offers state-of-the-art optical services, including laser vision correction surgery, cornea transplants, cataract extraction and other refractive procedures.

The board-certified physicians of the university’s Gavin Herbert Eye Institute are experts in the most advanced techniques and treatments for such vision problems as cataracts, glaucoma, adult and pediatric strabismus, diseases and disorders of the retina and cornea, uveitis and ocular inflammation. The team also includes specialists in neuro-ophthalmology, ocular oncology, oculofacial plastics and orbital surgery.
