Family Medicine

Family Medicine provides family-centered, continuity-based care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. Particular emphasis is placed on health promotion and disease prevention.

• Adult and child health maintenance
• Geriatrics
• Reproductive health, including prenatal care and vaginal delivery
• Women’s health
• Clinical nutrition

Outpatient services include:

• Colonoscopy
• Common dermatological biopsy techniques
• Endometrial biopsy
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Vasectomy

Family Medicine physicians are available to assist with primary care case management of referred patients. Nurse practitioners are also available and are valuable members of our healthcare delivery team. They provide direct patient care and are capable of prescribing medications, performing routine health examinations and ordering diagnostic tests such as lab work and X-rays.
