In 2009, UC Irvine’s School of Medicine and CHOC Children’s Hospital formed a collaborative clinical affiliation to provide high-quality, comprehensive pediatric services to the children of Orange County.

At CHOC in Orange, UC Irvine faculty members provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric primary care and subspecialty services. At UC Irvine Medical Center, Orange County’s only university hospital, pediatric faculty physicians also continue to provide selective services for infants, children and adolescents. The strategic collaboration with CHOC also expands the research programs of UC Irvine’s Department of Pediatrics, offering patients greater access to clinical trials and other comprehensive treatment options.

Together, the two institutions offer the most advanced and comprehensive pediatric clinical care in Orange County.
