Dr. Henri Colt
Pulmonologist
Henri Colt, M.D., is a pulmonologist specializing in the diagnosis and
treatment of patients with advanced lung disorders. His areas of expertise
include endoscopic (bronchoscopic) diagnosis and the treatment of central airway
obstruction, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), malignant
mesothelioma and other serious lung diseases. He is also an expert on end-of-life
issues.
Dr. Colt is extremely active in medical research. His interests include
advancing the management of patients with severe lung disease, designing novel
medical technologies, and improving the teaching of bronchoscopy (viewing the
inside of the airway). He has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed research
articles, in addition to many book chapters, review papers and a Web-based
training tool for physicians.
Dr. Colt is passionate about patient education, and has written a manual for
individuals with advanced breast cancer-related lung disease. As chairman of The
World Bronchology Foundation, Dr. Colt is actively involved in providing
humanitarian aid and pulmonary-related technical and educational assistance
to countries in need.
