Dr. Jain, director of the Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center, specializes in diagnosing and treating strokes and transient ischemic brain attacks, sometimes called "mini-strokes," as well as vascular dementia and stroke prevention. Jain is board certified in neurology and vascular neurology.
Dr. Al-Khoury specializes in evaluating and treating patients with strokes and transient ischemic attacks (TIA) in the acute setting, as well as providing follow up for these patients in the stroke prevention center. She also evaluates and treats patients with vascular dementia and general neurology issues. Al-Khoury is a board-certified as a neurologist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Dr. Cramer specializes in the treatment of stroke and he studies how new drugs enhance physiological changes in the brain that can aid in recovery. His research also seeks to understand and improve how stroke patients recover function and movement, using brain-mapping studies, clinical trials and other investigations. Cramer, who is board certified in neurology, internal medicine and vascular neurology, also directs neuroimaging services at UC Irvine's Institute for Clinical Translation Science.
Dr. Fisher specializes in stroke treatment and studies how plaque in the artery leading to the brain can result in blood clots that trigger strokes. He is board certified in neurology and vascular neurology.
Dr. Suzuki is a highly trained and board-certified vascular neurologist specializing in endovascular treatment of acute stroke, aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial vasospasm, arteriovenous malformation, intracranial arterial stenosis and traumatic injury. His research interests include neuroimaging, acute stroke and the application of stem cell therapy to treat severe neurological disabilities.
Dr. Langdorf, a specialist in emergency medicine with expertise in advanced cardiac life support and emergency ultrasound, is a stroke patient’s first line of defense by determining as quickly as possible what treatment is needed. Dr. Linskey is an expert in advanced cranial microsurgery, complex skull base microsurgical approaches to aneurysms, the Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery, image-guided surgery and other leading-edge techniques for treating stroke patients. He is board certified in neurological surgery and is a member of the cerebrovascular section of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Tsai specializes in minimally invasive treatments for severe stroke, angioplasty and arterial stenting for brain ischemia. He is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology.
Dr. Hasso specializes in clinical imaging of the brain in stroke patients and other disorders of the head, neck and spine. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology. Hasso also is the author or co-author of five books and has contributed to numerous textbooks in his field.
Dana Stradling coordinates patient care, tracks outcomes, provides stroke education for the nursing staff and leads the center’s stroke support group. She also ensures that the program maintains the quality and level of service that earned its rating for excellence as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission.
Johanna Williams provides patients with frontline administrative support and coordination to ensure high quality care and patient follow-up. She also works with the center’s director and program manager on community outreach. |
