The specialists in colon and rectal surgery at UC Irvine’s H.H. Chao Comprehensive Digestive Disease Center (CDDC) offer a full spectrum of medical and surgical treatments for colorectal and small intestine disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, rectal prolapse, fecal incontinence and colorectal cancer as well as anal and perianal malignancies.

The colorectal surgeons at Orange County’s only university hospital are certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Team members also are highly skilled in colostomy-sparing procedures and have extensive experience in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques.

At the CDDC, located at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, patients have a single, convenient site where they can consult with UC Irvine Healthcare physicians and receive individualized attention. Our goal is to provide exemplary and compassionate care to adult and young-adult patients, restoring function and improving their quality of life.
