UC Irvine Healthcare’s Music to Heal program was developed to improve the well-being of patients and their experience by bringing music into the hospital environment. Music to Heal seeks to provide a means and place for creative expression in the hospital. Volunteers perform for patients in the medical center’s clinics as well as in the hospital. Current musical volunteers sing or play guitar, cello, violin, harp and piano.

What are the requirements to volunteer? Volunteers must be at least 15 years old, commit to at least 100 service hours and attend a two-hour orientation. Volunteers play for a minimum of two hours. They also must have a health clearance and pass a criminal background check.

For more information about the Music to Heal program, call the volunteer office at 714.456.5541 or email ucimcvolunteer@uci.edu.

Application Download: Right-click and save the High School Student Application (PDF) or Adult Volunteer Application (PDF) to your desktop. Complete all required fields, save your changes, then email the file to ucimcvolunteer@uci.edu.
