Nursing Unit Support
Volunteers provide assistance in nursing units by answering phones; greeting visitors; responding to patient requests; stocking supplies; running errands between medical center departments and providing general clerical support to the nursing staff. Volunteering for patient care areas is perfect for those that like to work in an active environment assisting others.

Hospitality
Volunteers welcome patients and visitors as they enter the medical center and provide information, directions, escort service and general assistance as needed. Hospitality volunteer opportunities are ideal for outgoing individuals who like to smile and go out of their way to assist others. With the grand opening of our new hospital in early 2009, we’re looking for a large pool of volunteers to escort our patients and visitors.

Administrative Assistance
The medical center needs clerical and administrative support on an ongoing basis. Administrative assistance volunteer duties include: preparing patient educational materials and mailings; providing clerical support for different departments; working with computers; and making deliveries and pick-ups between medical center departments. This volunteer opportunity is good for those that prefer a variety of assignments and meeting new people.
